Classic Chevy parts in abundance

Posted by Carl King - 22/09/08 at 09:09 am

This economic downturn is actually really good for anyone looking for a car to buy or parts for your classic car. Craigslist has been filled with classic cars and parts for sale as the tight economy makes people think of things they have in their garage that can be turned into money.

I’ve done well this year. I’ve stripped a couple cars for parts and picked up a couple pairs of old 461 cylinder head castings for my own project and for spares.

I’m headed to Carlisle for the Fall Carlisle event. I’ve got bumpers for the 63 Impala which are in amazing condition, and a few sets for the 64 Impala in usable condition as well. I’ve got molding coming out of my ears. There’s a lot of stainless moldings on a 64 Impala.

I may even find some good deals at Carlisle. As we get closer to Christmas, there’s going to be even more deals out there.
