I’ve collected a few grills in the last years, 5 all together. This one isn’t useful at all except for salvaging a few parts off of it. I did get a couple of headlight pots, headlight rings, a couple of support pieces, a bent Chevrolet script and a handful of original screws. Not that the screws are worthy of using again but they make a good reference for finding the correct one in a nice stainless finish.
I’ll heat the bent Chevrolet script and try to straighten it. If it isn’t worth selling when it’s straightened, I just screw it down to the top of my monitor for decoration.
I stole the headlight rings off of this other grill section, just to put them in a safe place though. I have lots of them them now so I can choose the nicest ones for when it comes time to buff them out.
This section needs a bit of attention before I take it apart. I’m gonna straighten the aluminum grill and the filler panel before I take it apart. Straightening it will be much easier with it all together in one piece. I won’t need to worry about the parts twisting and stretching.
